Meet Chris

Since opening Morgan Law in 2015, Chris Morgan has proven that practicing law doesn’t require a stuffed shirt. In fact, if his staff (and his mirror) would permit it, Chris would likely show up to your consultation in a t-shirt.

Chris received his law degree from Arizona State University (not to be confused with the University of Phoenix Online) and previously earned his History degree from Brigham Young University. Chris specializes in Trusts —especially Special Needs Trusts—and Asset Protection Trusts. He finds this work deeply rewarding because of the immediate peace of mind it provides for his clients, especially seniors and vulnerable adults.

Chris Morgan, Utah Estate Attorney

While his career has encompassed thousands of satisfied clients and other rewarding professional milestones, he’s just as comfortable discussing the best way to smoke a brisket or the finer points of World War II history as he is explaining how to avoid estate taxes. Chris tries to live the moto “one at a time,” aiming to make every client feel like his only client.

As for hobbies, Chris officially enjoys fishing, skiing, and grilling. Unofficially, he does rarely does any of those things. He and his wife have two young boys (including a very high-energy five-year-old), which means his actual “hobbies” include refereeing impromptu living room cage matches, lying about the importance of homework to his 5th grader, and playing with Paw Patrol toys. Chris has a much longer list of things he does not enjoy, including but not limited to hiking, biking, running, or sweating. Chris never has (and never will) run in a 5k race, though he does own a 4k television. When he isn’t hunched over his keyboard hammering out legalese (or biographies of himself in the third person), you can find Chris trying to catch up on his favorite past-time, napping.
